PRELIMINARY REMARKS
Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event is the audiovisual industry platform held during the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) - one of the largest and the only FIAPF-certified competitive feature film festival in Northern Europe. The aim of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event (hereinafter ITBE) is to facilitate interaction, cooperation, and co-production between the Baltic, Scandinavian, Central and Eastern European audiovisual industries and help them integrate with the audiovisual industries of countries with high production capacity.
To qualify for an Accreditation, the Participant must agree to these Rules and Regulations. Any violation of these Regulations may lead to the withdrawal of the Accreditation and a permanent exclusion from the event.
EVENT FORMAT
ITBE is a hybrid professionals’ summit consisting of a five-day physical event in Tallinn, Estonia, combined with an online platform, where the business activities and the conference and educational programme are mirrored and accessible around the year.
ITBE operates a film and series market, offers talent development programs, promotes cross-sectoral collaboration in the AV sector, fosters series IP development, offers educational programs, a program of conferences and talks, embracing digital innovations: novel business models, skills, and technologies.
For the participants who are not able to attend the physical event, or prefer the virtual approach, an online solution for 1:1 meetings and a password-protected area for accessing the conferences and talks on our website is provided.
All participants with PRO accreditation receive access to our virtual cinema hall Proscreen where all of the films that gave online screening rights to the festival are available.
GENDER EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION POLICY
Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment that values diversity, mutual respect and understanding. We promote gender equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work and programmes – including the planning, organisation, and delivery of the events and activities. We believe that diversity is a strength and everyone should have equal opportunities for participation, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or other personal characteristics.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event aims to create a safe, sustainable and inclusive environment for respectful debate, discussions and exchanges in which everyone is treated with respect and as equals. We expect all participants in our events and activities to behave in a respectful and professional manner, and to refrain from any behaviour that is discriminatory, harassing, or offensive. This includes but is not limited to behaviour that is based on a person's gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or other personal characteristics. We will not tolerate any behaviour that violates our policy and reserve the right to take appropriate action, including expulsion from the event.
ACCREDITATION
Accreditation Applications for Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event 2024 can be submitted online from the beginning of June 2024. The Accreditation Applications are only processed during the official registration period that ends on November 7.
The number of Onsite Accreditations is limited due to the venue capacity, hence late Applications may be not accepted. In addition, we offer the possibility to purchase an Online Accreditation for professionals participating remotely. The Accreditation grants the Participant access to all the Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event services and events. Detailed information is available on the Accreditation section of the Industry web page.
The submission of Accreditation Application is considered as an acceptance of the Rules and Regulations. Organisations or people applying for Accreditation for third parties must confirm and ensure that the third party has noted, accepted and will comply with these Regulations.
Any violations may lead to the withdrawal of the Accreditation and a permanent exclusion from the event. The Rules and Regulations for Project submissions and Discovery Campus submissions are subject to separate Rules and Regulations per each category that can be found on the ITBE website.
We offer free accreditation to the person accompanying a guest who requires assistance due to any disability. If this applies to you, please contact our Head of Guest Department Sigrid Saaremets at sigrid.saaremets@poff.ee.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATIONS
The Accreditation Fee is determined by the date of Application. The first round of Accreditations will end on September 1, and the second price increase will happen on October 16. The Accreditation Fee can be waived in special cases by the decision of ITBE management.
The Accreditation is confirmed only after receiving the payment of the invoice. If the payment is not made in due time (date marked on the invoice), the organisers reserve the right to cancel the Application.
The Accreditation cannot be cancelled once the payment has been made. Onsite Accreditation can be changed into Online Accreditation if the participant informs the organisers via the industry@poff.ee email address.
BADGES
The Industry Accreditation Badge (hereinafter Badge) is granted to a specific person and is non-transferable. It grants access to the locations and screenings of Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event and the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival PÖFF as per the guidelines and additional information provided by the organisers.
The Badge can be collected at the accreditation counters upon presentation of a valid personal identification. The Badges can not be collected by someone other than the Accredited person without the presentation of a written authorisation.
It is compulsory to carry the Badge during the whole festival. The Badges will be scanned at the entrance of conference rooms and cinema halls to grant access to the event or screening. Persons without a Badge can be refused entry.
Badges used by people other than the accreditation/registration holder will be confiscated. The loss or theft of a Badge must be reported to the organisers immediately.
DATA AND PRIVACY
Your data is managed and protected according to our Privacy Policy which can be found on the ITBE website. Please note that when attending the Festival you may be photographed or filmed for marketing purposes and the submission of an Accreditation Application is considered as an acceptance of that. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us in a timely manner.
FINAL PROVISIONS
Regarding all matters not expressly settled by these Regulations, the current regulations of Estonia and its entities and good business practices are to be applied. Any amendments and supplements to these Regulations shall be made by Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event management. By submitting an Accreditation Application, the Applicant agrees to all provisions of these Regulations. These Regulations come into effect from the day of their publishing on the webpage http://industry.poff.ee/, and are effective beginning on the 1st of June 2024.
