Aamu Milonoff began her acting career at a very young age, making her television debut in Matti Kinnunen’s ELAMAA SUUREMPAA when she was only 12 years old. Since then, she has worked consistently across numerous TV & Film projects such as: Teppo Airaksinen’s dark comedy series DUKE OF SIPOO; Juha Lankinen’s THE HAPPIEST HOUR OF THE WOLF; as ‘Chrystal’ in MAANANTAI by Samuli Valkama; as ‘Olivia’ in the drama LITTLE WING, and ‘Pinja’ in STUPID YOUNG HEART - both of which were directed by Selma Vilhunen.
She made her stage debut at The Finnish National Theatre in 2016 in a production of RICHARD III, which was directed by Jussi Nikkilä.
In 2020 Aamu played the lead role of ‘Aliisa’ in Ulla Heikkila’s coming-of-age feature film EDEN, which screened extensively on the international festival circuit.
Most recent works include the Netflix’s acclaimed Finnish crime & Nordic noir television series DEADWIND which is created & directed by Rike Jokela; as well as playing the role of ‘Sofia Talvitie’ in the crime series PAHAN VÄRI, which is directed by Olli Ilpo Salonen.
Her latest film GIRL PICTURE by Alli Haapasalo was selected for competition at Sundance Film Festival - the first Finnish feature film ever to do so - where it won the audience award.
Her portrayal of the character “Mimmi” has has gained her widespread attention and earned her the Best Actress Award at the FilmOut Festival in San Diego, Best Actress at the International Film Festival Cologne, as well as the Outstanding Performance Award in an International Narrative Feature Award at L.A. Outfest.
