Climate change looms over our future and will require adaptation from almost every aspect of human life – including the production of films. In addition to being shot during the Covid19-pandemic, The Wait claims to be one of the first carbon negative feature films made in Finland – a feat that was accomplished using the services of a Finnish nonprofit company Compensate. Actress-scriptwriter Inga Kallen, director Aku Louhimies, producer Andrei Alén and specialist from will discuss how the idea of The Wait was born, what a carbon negative production during a pandemic looked like and how our future requires us to approach differently towards storytelling.
