Roope Lehtinen

Roope Lehtinen and Mikko Pöllä (Fire Monkey) are the pioneers of taking Finnish drama abroad. Their Black Widows (2014) – the first ever Finnish series to be remade in all the Scandinavian countries – and Easy Living have both gained remakes by HBO Europe, Viaplay, and Televisa among others and are globally the most optioned Finnish scripted formats ever. Roope’s work has won him more than 20 national drama awards and numerous international recognitions, including Prix Europa for the best European drama. Mikko has created and co-created six scripted dramas and been the head writer of more than 100 hours of produced drama. Moderator Nunnu Karppinen interviews Roope to coax out the secrets, lessons, and advice on going international and what it took to pave the way for others to go abroad.
